What could be more English than spending the night in a B&B? Shropshire has an abundance of comfortable bed and breakfast properties, some on farms and many in our market towns and villages. Booking a guesthouse B&B in Shropshire is the ideal way to see inside a traditional English property. The best Shropshire B&Bs strike a beautiful balance between giving you your own space and offering a personalised service. Choose an en-suite room for utmost privacy. Often you’ll be staying in the home of the B&B owners, who are happy to share ideas about walks and places to visit. Some Shropshire guesthouses provide an evening meal too: these will need to be booked in advance. You don’t always need to leave your pets at home. Ask about dog-friendly B&Bs in Shropshire. Recognising that Shropshire is a land of freedom and wonderful bridleways for riding, several Shropshire B&Bs offer outside space to accommodate your horse. After a refreshing night’s sleep, you’ll be treated to breakfast – as big or small as your appetite dictates. A Shropshire breakfast is like an English cooked breakfast, only with sausages and bacon sourced from Shropshire farms. Even better if your breakfast is cooked on an Aga. The famous range ovens began life in Shropshire, in Coalbrookdale, and for Brits today they’re evocative of cosy farmhouse kitchens. Of course all Shropshire B&Bs offer lighter breakfasts too, and you’ll always find a vegetarian option. Don’t forget to wash everything down with good coffee or a pot of freshly brewed tea. Where will you sleep in Shropshire? Book a B&B direct today and tell them you saw their place on Visit Shropshire.

Embark on an extraordinary half-term adventure at the enchanting Hawkstone Park Follies! 🌲✨
This hidden gem invites you to explore a sprawling landscape filled with magical surprises. Hawskstone Park Follies are offering 50% off general admission from February 9th to 18th, making it the perfect opportunity to uncover the mysteries that await.
Set in 100 acres of Parkland The Follies is a range of dramatic and rugged natural sandstone hills that were developed to include gullies, caves, towers and bridges, becoming one of the most visited landscapes in Britain during the 19th Century. However, throughout the 20th Century this romantic landscape became forgotten, overgrown and ruinous, unvisited by all but the locals.
Now recognised as a Masterpiece of the School of Naturalistic Landscape and designated as a Grade I listed landscape by English Heritage, this magical and exhilarating landscape had a new lease of life with a multi-million pound restoration project enabling it to reopen to visitors in 1993. Overgrown but never fully forgotten, pathways were cleared, gullies reopened and handrails reinstalled to allow visitors to enjoy the spectacular views and surprises that The Follies reveals around every corner.
Friends of the Follies can also enjoy special annual pass upgrade offers available at the gate, ensuring that the magic doesn`t end after one visit!
